Set up your MAG box.

This guide uses portal activation. Send us the box’s MAC address first, then enter the portal address supplied in your WhatsApp conversation.

Register the box

  1. 1.Find the MAC address on the box label or in System Settings. It uses six pairs of letters and numbers separated by colons.
  2. 2.Send the address on WhatsApp and wait for activation confirmation.

Open the portal menu

  1. 1.Open Settings, or press SETUP or SET on your remote.
  2. 2.Choose System Settings, then Servers, then Portals.

Save your portal

  1. 1.Give Portal 1 a name you will recognise.
  2. 2.In Portal 1 URL, enter the full portal address from your WhatsApp message.
  3. 3.Press OK to save.

Check the clock and restart

  1. 1.In System Settings, find the time or NTP settings.
  2. 2.Use us.pool.ntp.org in North America, or pool.ntp.org elsewhere, and check your local time zone.
  3. 3.Leave settings and choose Restart Portal. Open a channel when the list appears.
Good to know. The programme guide depends on the device clock. Check the time and time zone if listings do not line up.
